North Dakotan's were just named the second worst drivers in the United States, according to a new study.  You can read all about that here.  Part of the reason we ranked so poorly was because of our ample DUI's per capita.

Well, according to another study by Zutobi, North Dakota ranks NUMBER ONE in the nation for most DUI's per capita.  YIKES, there really is a reason why we should fear driving our roads in the state.  You never know when some yahoo is going tie one on, and decide to get behind the wheel.

Good chance you know somebody who has had a DUI in North Dakota.  In 2019, there were 868 DUI arrests per 100.000 drivers, according to the article.  A number that is way to high.

The rest of the top 5 states for the worst DUI severity score include:  Wyoming at number 2, followed by Montana at number 3, South Dakota at 4 and Texas rounds out the top 5.

The states with the best score on the DUI severity score include: Utah, Delaware, New York, New Jersey and Vermont.

Our border neighbor Minnesota faired much better than North Dakota.  The Gopher State came in at number 31.

You have so many options this day and age if you decided to have one too many.  Call an Uber, Lfyt , a taxi, or a friend.  Just don't drink and drive.  It could change your life forever, not to mention, you could kill somebody or yourself.  It's just not worth it.
