Tornado Touches Down Near Jamestown, No Damage

Authorities report a tornado touched down near Jamestown over the weekend.  No damage or injuries were reported.

A spokesman for the Stutsman County Emergency Department says the twister touched down Sunday evening in open country about a dozen miles northwest of Jamestown.

A sheriff's deputy says the tornado was moving in the direction of Jamestown, but dissipated before reaching the city.
