White House Correspondent Thomas Dead at 92

Fiery and controversial White House correspondent Helen Thomas, whose career with UPI spanned eight presidential administrations, is dead at 92.

Thomas is remembered as a feisty liberal who nonetheless won admiration, if grudging at times, from politicos of all persuasions.  Her reputation was never the same after these comments regarding the Middle East.
