A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for much of North Dakota through 1pm on Monday.

Winter. Weather. Advisory. It's April 24. Temperatures will be cool most of the week and we'll warm up into the 50s hopefully by late in the week.

The map above shows the counties that could be impacted by rain potentially mixed with some snow and sleet.

An advisory is the least severe weather alert but it still seems ridiculous for any weather updates to have the word 'winter' in it at the end of April.

Parts of northern and western North Dakota received a couple of inches of snow on Sunday.

Spring and Summer will eventually get here assuming history chooses to repeat itself in 2017.
