
Cantor Defeat Said to be a “Game-Changer”
The primary defeat of House Majority leader Eric Cantor by a Tea Party challenger has all of Washington speculating how it will change the game inside the beltway.
The upset of Cantor by David Brat in the Republican primary in Virginia’s Seventh Congressional District appears to have shot some life back into the fading Tea Party movement.
Among other things, the ouster of Cantor may spell the death knell for immigration. Cantor was considered a moderate on the subject.
