Heat Advisory For Bismarck and Most of the State Today

Near record temperatures are expected for the state today, and the National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a HEAT ADVISORY for most of the state today, Friday, July 14th.

The advisory goes in effect at 1 p.m. (cst) today and will remian in effect until 8 p.m. today. Temperatures will reach the century mark for a majority of the state, and the heat continues through the weekend.

Take the proper precautions including-

• Make sure pets and livestock have plenty of fresh water and shade
• Check on the elderly
• Find a cool place, take in a movie, walk the mall, go to the library
• Wear sunblock and sun screen, wear sunglasses and stay hydrated
