BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Interior Secretary Sally Jewell is getting a look at North Dakota's oil and gas development.

Jewell begins a two-day tour of the oil patch Tuesday with stops in Williston and the Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit. She will be in Dickinson on Wednesday morning.

North Dakota Sens. John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp say the tour and meeting with energy sector leaders is meant to help Jewell understand the state's "comprehensive approach" to energy development.

The outing will include tours of several rigs.
