A new development related to the construction of the new Mandan High School was announced earlier today (Monday, April 3rd).

Naming Rights Deal

A $900,000 naming rights deal has been secured for the new Mandan High School gymnasium.

With this deal, Starion Bank will have naming rights for the gymnasium for the next 30 years.

The gym will be called the "Starion Bank Gymnasium."

Funding

According to a press release from Starion Bank, Mark Weist, the Athletic Director for Mandan High School, said

"We are so appreciative of the gift from Starion Bank, which will enhance our school and community for many decades..."

Weist went on to also say the following:

"This state-of-the-art facility will provide our student-athletes incredible opportunities and give our entire community a building that we will all be very proud of. Thank you, Starion Bank, for your support to our community"

Starion Bank also secured a naming rights deal with the Mandan sports complex in 2017, calling it the Starion Sports Complex. That deal was secured at $250,000.

Projected Completion Date

Building a new school is something residents of the Mandan community were very happy to hear was happening.

You might be surprised to hear this:

Construction of the new Mandan High School is a $95 million project.

That said, a new school for Mandan was much-need and is something students, parents, and sports fans in the Mandan community are looking forward to.

As of right now, construction of the school is expected to be done by the Fall of 2024.
