Bill Proposed to Allow for ‘Memorial Birth Certificates’
Five House representatives and one Senator in North Dakota are backing a bill to allow for memorial birth certificates.
Under the bill, a person, including the state department of health would be able to issue a birth certificate even there was not a live birth.
This means that stillborn or miscarried fetuses would be able to have birth certificates issued.
This would likely help families through the grieving process.
