The statewide average of gas in North Dakota is the highest it's been since September 2015.

North Dakota's statewide average prices for gas is currently at $2.54 per gallon. In the summer months of 2015, the average price of gas reached as high as $2.76 per gallon.

As the oil prices continue to trade at multi-year highs drivers are paying an additional 15 cents per gallon. The statewide average price of gas last year in North Dakota was $2.36 per gallon.

According to AAA, the average price in Bismarck is currently $2.64. In contrast, a year ago at this time, it was $2.30. The data compiled from AAA suggests that prices statewide will stay below $3 per gallon this year. However, certain communities may see the price go over that amount.

According to GasBuddy, the lowest price for gas in the Bis-Man area can be found at several stations for $2.59 per gallon. While we're lucky enough to not have a wide range of prices at most stations in our local region, the low and high averages for several communities throughout the state are roughly around 40 cents or more.
