Interim President to be Named at BSC

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's Board of Higher Education is set to name an interim president for Bismarck State College.

The Bismarck Tribune reports the board at a Friday meeting is expected to act on a recommendation from college President Larry Skogen that college Executive Vice President David Clark fill the head role.

The Higher Education board earlier this month named Skogen interim chancellor of the state university system. Skogen has been serving as acting chancellor since the board bought out the contract of Hamid Shirvani in July.

Clark began serving in state government in 1984 as a fiscal and budget analyst with the Office of Management and Budget. He joined BSC in 1990 and worked as vice president of operations and corporate and continuing education before being named executive vice president.
