North Dakota DC Team Digs In On Impeachment
As the impeachment flap heats up in Washington, North Dakota’s congressional delegation holds fast - or, some might say they're digging in.
The Tribune reports this week Congressman at-large Kelly Armstrong said House Democrats are impeaching the president "on charges they can't prove."
Senator Hoeven maintains Congress has more important things to do; Senator Cramer calls the charges “underwhelming.”
In other impeachment news, amid shouts of protest and gavel-banging, Democrats on Tuesday unveiled two articles of impeachment against the president, a move that could lead to a full House vote as early as next week.
Jerry Nadler, the house judiciary committee chairman, said Democrats were going forward with charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Sen. Mitch McConnell, meanwhile says the Senate hearing on impeachment won't likely come until after the holiday break. ABC says the likelihood of the Senate calling up like witnesses is also in question.
