BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck was put on lockdown for about an hour Sunday after reports of gunshots nearby.

The Associated Press reports officials at the state museum were alerted to the situation by Capitol grounds security officials late Sunday morning, and followed standard procedure. About 20 people were inside the museum at the time.

Police also blocked off several blocks in central Bismarck. Officers found no evidence of any shots being fired.
