Summer moves pretty fast in North Dakota.  If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it (sorry, I just watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off).  It won't be long and the snow will be melting.

Thoughts of summertime fun are already on my mind.  I know, we still have a lot of winter left. Jumping into the car and exploring our great state has always been one of my favorite things to do.  Just need a little warmer weather right?

You probably remember learning about the Seven Wonders of the world back in grade school.  I'm not sure I can name more than a couple, to be honest.  Well, I put my head together with another lifelong North Dakotan, and we came up with our own version of the "Seven Wonders", only for the Peace Garden State.  Seven places you should find a way to visit in 2023.  Make it a New Years' resolution.

Best of all, you could probably do a tour of North Dakota and knock out most of these in a few weekends.  So, let's get to it.  These are the Seven Wonders of North Dakota.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
